It is a shame I call Trump my president. Trump today had a meeting and complained to Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey that his Twitters followers are being deleted due to politics. Trump tweeted that his follower count would be “much higher” than 100 million if Twitter “wasn’t playing their political games.” Trump lost 204,000 of his 53.4 million followers in July when Twitter began purging suspicious accounts, according to Keyhole.
Twitter has been deleting fake accounts and fake Twitter followers due the widespread practise of people who buy Twitter likes and Twitter followers (eg https://www.appsally.com/collections/social-media/twitter/). This is not new has been going on for a while now, especially after the recent 2016 US presidential election meddling scandal. Trump has also accused the tech giants in Silicon Valley of spreading “hatred” against “a certain group of people who happen to be in power, who have won the election.” He tweeted in November that “Facebook, Twitter and Google are so biased towards the Dems that it’s ridiculous!”
Unlike other major executives of the U.S. tech company, Jack Dorsey had not met Trump before. He was not invited to a meeting with Trump in December 2016 featuring other major tech companies, and in 2016 Reuters reported that Mr Trump was angry with Twitter because Twitter had rejected a campaign (political) advertising deal. My advice to the president, stop acting like and insecure child as if the tech world has prejudice against you and start clean up your acts instead.
